We are so excited to recognize and honor the memory of our dear friend Chuck Crist! If you knew Chuck as we did for so many years, you knew that he excelled in making all studios feel welcome no matter their skill level. His ability to make others feel supported, and cared for, was infectious. We look forward to bringing his personality to Destiny Talent Competition with this very special award. At each city our staff and judges will vote to award one studio who shows great sportsmanship and spirit by supporting their fellow studios and spectators throughout the competition. The studio owner and teachers will be brought on stage for introductions and will receive a special award commemorating their achievement in showing their dancers that being supportive of others is far more important than winning first place.

Nothing made Chuck happier than a good Snickers bar and witnessing displays of great sportsmanship through the unwavering support of others. We honestly cannot think of a more important award at a talent competition, nor a better person to name it after. It was a tremendous honor to have known Chuck, and it will likewise be an honor to highlight studios that remind us of his positivity and true desire to bring joy to competitions!
